The Phantom of The Opera Sequel Unlikely For Broadway In Spring
It looks unlikely that Love Never Dies, the Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, will come to Broadway in spring as planned, according to The New York Times. The show opened in March in London.
A spokesman for the production said the London production’s director, Jack O’Brien, and choreographer, Jerry Mitchell, who were expected to work on the Broadway show, have left to focus on their new musical, Catch Me if You Can.
Neither O’Brien nor Mitchell have commented The spokesman for Love Never Dies Adrian Bryan-Brown told The Times that plans to bring the show to Broadway in the spring were still on, and “we’re just waiting for a date.”
